Sports Science IA word count and page limit

Is your Sports, Exercise and Health Science IA deadline coming up? Do you want to make sure that your work is in line with the formal requirements and has an appropriate structure? Then this guide is just for you! Check it out to improve your grade.

SEHS IA is a scientific investigation that should take up from 6 to 12 pages. There is no word limit. It is recommended to use a 12-point font with double spacing. The basic structure of such report includes an introduction, main body, and conclusion, which can be further subdivided.

Introduction

Begin your essay by introducing the research question along with the background of your investigation.  State your hypothesis, drawing upon the relevant theory you have acquired during the course. Exhibit your knowledge and understanding of the topic by providing definitions and characteristics of the subjects, issues etc. which are subject to your study. Ensure the precise application of specific terminology in a fitting context and display proof of your proactive role in conducting the research. It is also suggested to emphasize its alignment with your areas of interest. We recommend to keep the introduction under 2 pages.

Main body

This section of around 8 pages should be devoted to your investigation and analysis. Firstly, present a detailed methodology, specifying the type and quantity of equipment and components required for the study. Once this list is complete provide step-by-step instructions for the procedure, ensuring constant awareness of the measurement uncertainties associated with the apparatus. Clearly distinguish between controlled and uncontrolled variables, assessing their potential impact on the experiment's outcomes. Then proceed to present the obtained results. Process them appropriately to address the research question, incorporating formulas, calculations, and explanations if needed. Look for data trends, investigate anomalies, and consider factors that may have influenced these specific results. Make sure that your report has enough quantitative and qualitative data to support a sound conclusion. Do not forget about the usage graphs, tables, and images for clarity in data presentation

Conclusion

Ensure that the answer to the research question is clearly stated in the conclusion. Assess your investigation and results in alignment with your research focus. You should demonstrate awareness of environmental or ethical considerations if such occurred. Discuss the strengths of your methodology and propose enhancements to address the weaknesses and elevate the overall quality of your report. Lastly, make suggestions for further research as extensions to your study. Write this part for around 2 pages.
