Are you wondering what you should place on the title page of your Extended Essay? The cover page must be concise and include only the following components: title, research question, subject, and word count. An exemplary title page would look like this:
Extended Essay
Title: Investigation of the Kolbe Electrolysis of Ethanoeate in Acqueous Solution.
Research question: How does varying the solution of pH and sodium ethanoate concentration affect the rate and yield of ethane production from its electrolysis?
Subject: Chemistry
Word count: 3976
Checklist:
- Title: Briefly describe what the essay is about.
- Research question: It must be in a form of a question. Ensure that exactly the same question is included in other sections of your EE and that it is answered at the end of the investigation.
- Subject: Specify what subject your work belongs to.
- Word count: Remember that your essay cannot exceed 4000 words!
Don't include:
Your name
Your school's name
Your IB candidate number
... or anything that would facilitate identifying you.
