Curious about the font size requirement for the Internal Assessment (IA)? You've come to the right place!
The IB does not specify a required font size for the Internal Assessment, so you won’t lose marks based on your choice of font size. However, readability remains important. While selecting a particular font size won’t earn you extra points, using a clear and comfortable size can make it easier for the examiner to read your essay, which can positively influence their overall impression. For this reason, we recommend using a 12-point font with double or 1.5 spacing (although for the Sciences, single spacing is also good). Generally, we do not recommend going with anything below a font size of 11 as it may make the investigation hard to read.
