The University of Miami is a test-optional institution, allowing applicants the choice to submit standardized test scores if they believe it will enhance their application. Additionally, the university permits self-reporting of scores, which means students can report their test results without needing to submit official score reports initially. Currently, 33% of applicants choose to submit SAT scores, while 19% submit ACT scores; combined, that accounts for 52% of applicants submitting standardized test scores overall, indicating that some students may submit both.
