The Gili Eco Trust is an NGO focused on protecting coral reefs and promoting sustainability in the Gili Islands, Indonesia. It collaborates with local communities to address environmental challenges through conservation and educational initiatives.


I’ve played piano for 12 years, earning Grade 8 ABRSM at 14 and now pursuing an ARSM diploma. On moving, I joined a piano trio and performed in school concerts. This expanded my experience from solo to collaborative playing, with external deadlines and technically demanding piano parts. It taught me discipline, teamwork, and adaptability.


Practiced Karate for 9 years, earning a black belt at 14 in XXX. Continued training in XXX to improve self-discipline, fitness, and self-defense. Mentored younger students during group sessions, emphasising perseverance and teamwork. Developed resilience through rigorous practice and competitive sparring.


Developed advanced CAD skills using SolidWorks through projects like designing a load-bearing boat and modelling car chassis. Combined physics principles with creative aspects of Design Technology to create functional designs. Mentored younger students, teaching them CAD techniques and guiding their projects, especially during senior year.


Selected by school to compete in a challenge hosted by NUS and Merck to design a solution preventing accidental syringe pricks for healthcare workers. Followed the condensed design process: defining the need, prototyping, and justifying the solution. Refined CAD and 3D printing skills. Won Most Minimalistic Design for the final prototype.


The Mathematical Olympiad for Girls is a national competition open to female students excelling in maths. Participants are ranked based on scores with the top 25% receiving a Distinction award. In 2023, over 3,900 students competed across the UK.


The UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge is a national competition open to students aged 19 or below. Participants are ranked based on their scores, with the top 11% receiving Gold awards, the next 22% Silver, and the following 33% Bronze.
