Awarded a $1000 CAD grant from the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative in Ontario to be donated towards the shelter for First Nations victims of domestic abuse: Helping Spirit Lodge. Collaborated with peers to construct a 10 minute presentation on the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) as well as the difficulties of leaving a domestic household, presented in the format of a collage with bruised hands, childrens’ belongings, photo cards of memories, and so forth.
Art of Our Community Foundation
Launched and facilitated 80+ youth ages 12-19 from British Columbia in the process of painting multiple murals throughout Vancouver communities. Murals tackling issues regarding mental well-being, diversity, inclusivity, sustainability totaling to 67,000+ square inches of public artwork. Directed the exchange of over __ artworks between children from varying socio-economic backgrounds and schools to create a network for young children to experience new perspectives and cultures. Collaborated with artists ages 25-60+ to embrace Vancouver’s history and culture through painting historic buildings onto 80+ rocks and displaying throughout Vancouver’s famous Stanley Park. Fundraised $600+ through various means such as hand-designed Valentine’s Day Cards with proceeds going towards the Turkiye Earthquake. Awarded the Global Leadership Service Award.
