As the founder of an organization that helps spread the impact of words and as a student wanting to go into journalism, I was given the privilege to publish an article explaining the goal of my project in one of my city’s newspapers.


As a student artist I was chosen to work on a mural that would be displayed in the Downtown Doral Spring Food Festival. A festival that my city hosts yearly to celebrate different cultural foods. I volunteered and worked along other artists to make sure the festival had a picture-perfect backdrop


During the final bow, I walked onto the stage for the very first time. Quickly after, I make my way backstage, dim the lights, and close the curtains. Though I have never been seen on stage throughout the scenes of my school’s plays, I still have to attend every rehearsal, after a long day at school, to ensure that the actors are ready for opening night.  As Stage Manager I have had the opportunity to help my theater program grow. For the last 3 years I have had the opportunity to help with lights, sound, and props in performances like 12 Angry Jurors, Uncle Vanya, and Peter Pan. I ensured that everything is ready, and the actors are ready to perform. I have developed organizational and communication skills, from having to write down tips for the actors to improve on their performance and learning the ques for lights and sound. Additionally, I helped raise around $2,000 for the theater department which has continued to grow throughout the years. 

Drama club members are in charge of fundraising for the theater program at the school as well as encouraging others to pursue art. As president I co host meetings, but most importantly outside of school I was and continue to be involved in school productions and host fundraisers.


The Globe is my school newspaper. Due to my passion for writing I was given the chance to write about school and worldwide news as well as photograph the events me and my peer wrote about.


The annual Art Collective event was initiated by Capital Letter, a club of which I have been the vice president and a founding member for 3 consecutive years. Together with the rest of the club, I have organized this event that has been open to the public, since 2021. Each year after the end of the school day, we assist with the event's physical setup and logistics. The school cafeteria needs to be renovated with new furniture, lighting, and decorations. We are also available to assist with any needs both before and during the event, such as refreshments and/or help with production. This year, I took part in a live art exhibit where my photography was displayed, and my poetry was performed.

involved in all theater related activities.
