The guide below is just an example of how a good IA should be structured, but keep in mind that many high-scoring IAs may also use other structures. For examples of well-structured IAs, head to the <a href="/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Clastify</a> website where you can read through multiple exemplar IAs!&nbsp;<h2 style="text-align:center;">&nbsp;</h2><h2 style="text-align:center;">Computer Science IA Format and Structure</h2>&nbsp;&nbsp;In this IA, you need to come up with a solution to a problem faced by a client that you identify. You need to create a working product that the client will be able to use to solve their business or personal issues. To solve the problem, you can either create a new system (eg: developing a brand new app) or improve an existing one (connecting the existing website operations with a new mobile app). The computer science IA is broken down into 5 criteria, which should contain the following information as outlined below:&nbsp;&nbsp;<h4>Criterion A - Planning:</h4><ol><li>This criterion should have 3 main subsections, approximately 250 words each (including table data and bullet points) - defining the problem, rationale for the proposed solution, and success criteria.&nbsp;</li><li>When defining the problem, provide a brief overview of the main business operations of the client (what do they do or sell, for example, neighbourhood management). Explain why you chose this client in particular. How do their business objectives align with your interests? Why did you choose to help them?&nbsp;</li><li>Introduce the problem - what is the company struggling with right now and why is this affecting their business (eg: not enough workers to provide a service).</li><li>Explain why the problem affects the business - frustrated customers, potential lost revenue, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>In the rationale for the proposed solution, you should state the solution that you came up with (eg: software name, type of programming language used).&nbsp;</li><li>Explain why you think your proposed solution will benefit the business or client. Outline how you plan on using your solution to help the client.</li><li>Next, you need to discuss the success criteria in the form of bullet points.
