The University of Southern Maine is test-optional and allows self-reporting of scores for undergraduate admissions. This means that applicants can choose whether to submit SAT or ACT scores, and if they do, they can report their scores themselves rather than through official channels. Currently, 18% of applicants submit SAT scores, and 18% submit ACT scores, which totals 36%. This suggests that some students may be submitting both SAT and ACT scores.
