The University of Massachusetts at Amherst is test optional, allowing applicants to decide whether to submit standardized test scores. It also permits self-reporting of these scores, meaning students can provide their results directly without needing to send official documentation at the time of application. Currently, 100% of applicants choose to submit SAT scores, while an equal 100% submit ACT scores, indicating that some students submit both types of scores in their applications.
