The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is test optional and allows self-reporting of standardized test scores. This means that applicants can choose whether or not to submit their SAT or ACT scores, and if they do submit them, they can report their scores without needing to provide official documents. Currently, 40% of applicants submit SAT scores and 16% submit ACT scores; the total percentage exceeds 100% as some students submit both types of scores.
