The State University of New York at Albany is test optional and allows self-reporting of standardized test scores. This means applicants are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores for admission, and those who choose to do so can report their scores themselves. Currently, 87% of applicants submit SAT scores, and 87% submit ACT scores, indicating a significant overlap as some students submit both.
