This trend reflects a significant drop from 15.3% in 2024, 12.8% in 2025, and 12.2% in 2026. Historically, the acceptance rate was as high as 36.5% for the application year 2018, highlighting the increasing competitiveness of admissions over the years as applicant numbers continue to grow. In contrast, the acceptance rate was 30.7% in 2019 and has steadily declined to its current rate, emphasizing a tighter selection process at NYU.
