Brigham Young University Hawaii's overall acceptance rate has seen notable fluctuations over recent years. For the application year 2025, the acceptance rate soared to 69.2%, with 13,494 applicants and 9,335 accepted. In contrast, the year 2024 recorded a significantly lower acceptance rate of 60.6%, accepting 1,665 out of 2,748 applicants. Looking further back, the rates were much lower in previous years, such as 44.8% in 2019 and just 27.1% in 2017, indicating a trend of increasing acceptance rates recently. However, in recent years, the acceptance rate fell to 34% for 2023, indicating a potential shift back towards lower acceptance figures.
