I participate in Rooted's weekly sessions, where we discuss community issues and ways to raise awareness. We also work to promote cultural understanding among students. As a project leader, I presented topics such as funding cuts and racism to teachers from different schools, and I received a certificate for my efforts.

As VSA Treasurer, I planned and ran cultural events and organized fundraisers, such as boba and egg roll sales. Some events introduced students to Vietnamese holidays. I encouraged students from all backgrounds to join and supported club members. Through these experiences, I strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.


My main responsibilities were instructing them in the use of digital tools and preparing them for reintegration into school after summer. I worked closely with three teachers. We held daily meetings to plan activities and icebreakers to help students feel comfortable. Make students confident and proud about their culture, background, and identity.


I volunteer to tutor English to newly arrived Vietnamese students after school, helping them improve their communication with teachers, build their confidence, and integrate into school life; and also talk with them as friends, giving some advice based on my own experience, because I'm a student moving from Vietnam too.


I volunteered to distribute free food to families at church and school; helped organize and set up distribution, ensured fair access, and supported community members in need; and developed teamwork, responsibility, and service skills.
