The student does not adequately justify the choice of the topic through personal significance, interest, or curiosity. To improve, the student should link the topic with their personal interest or experience, and discuss why they have found this topic to be interesting and what aspects of it intrigue them the most. Additionally, there is a lack of evidence of personal input and initiative in the design, implementation, or presentation of the investigation. To address this, the student should design and conduct their own physical experiment, including preliminary trials, and discuss any methodological issues in their initial plan for the experiment. They could also create their own computer simulation using chosen programming tools.
