The student demonstrates a clear understanding of the relevant physics, using the Magnus and drag forces, Reynolds number, and spin number to develop a theoretical model and explain lateral deviation. They use source material effectively, explain and apply physics terminology, define symbols, and present measurements with clear units; their reasoning and methodology are also evident through the experimental trials, calculations, and regression analysis. Annotated setup diagrams and a table of predictions support the communication of the physics. However, the student does not use SI units exclusively: rotational speeds and their uncertainties are reported in RPM rather than converted to rad s⁻¹.
