The University of Iowa is not test optional, meaning that applicants are required to submit standardized test scores as part of their application. However, the university does allow for self-reporting of scores, which means students can report their own scores without sending official documentation initially. Currently, 100% of applicants submit SAT scores, while 87% submit ACT scores; the combined percentages exceed 100% because some students submit both test scores.
