Western Illinois University has reported a Regular Decision acceptance rate of 88.9% for the application year 2024, with 7,708 out of 8,671 applicants being accepted. This marks a significant increase from the 74.9% acceptance rate in 2023, which saw 6,353 acceptances from 8,476 applicants. Over the past several years, the acceptance rate has shown a clear upward trend, jumping from 67% in 2020 and 72.5% in 2021, and even lower figures of 56.7% in 2019.
