The University of Tennessee Space Institute recorded a 31.4% overall acceptance rate for the application year 2024, with 57,865 applicants and 18,182 accepted. This marks an increase from 29.5% in 2023, where there were 55,001 applicants and 16,200 admissions. Notably, the Early Action (EA) acceptance rate rose to 33.4% in 2024, compared to 31.0% in 2023, while the Regular Decision (RD) rate also improved slightly from 28.9% in 2023 to 30.8% in 2024. Historically, acceptance rates have generally trended upwards, showing a significant jump from 25.9% in 2020 to the current 31.4% in 2024, indicating increasing opportunities for prospective students.
