The University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa's transfer acceptance rate has seen a significant decrease recently, plummeting from 68.99% in 2020 to 51.14% for the Class of 2028, reflecting an increase in competitiveness. In 2023, 2,580 out of 5,046 applicants were accepted, compared to 2,758 from 4,245 applicants in 2022 and 2,921 from 4,320 applicants in 2021. The average GPA of accepted transfers stands at an impressive 3.87, indicating a strong pool of applicants. This downward trend in acceptance rates suggests that prospective transfers are facing a more challenging admissions landscape at the University of Alabama.
