The University of Illinois at Chicago has shown fluctuating acceptance rates over the years. For the application year 2023, the overall acceptance rate was 94% with 1,047 applicants and 979 accepted, up from 92% in 2022 when 1,017 applicants applied. The overall trend indicates a significant increase from 76% in 2021, which itself was an improvement from 72% in 2020. Furthermore, the rate has risen sharply from 69% in 2019 and 62% in 2018, illustrating that the university has become increasingly accommodating to applicants in the last few admission cycles.
