Historical Acceptance Rates

Johns Hopkins University has seen a decreasing trend in overall acceptance rates from 16.08% in 2015 to 7.6% for the application year 2024, with 38,926 applicants and 2,943 admitted. The Early Action acceptance rate remains more favorable at 14.0% for 2024, with 809 of 5,786 applicants accepted, compared to a significantly lower Regular Decision rate of 6.4%, admitting 2,134 out of 33,140 applicants. Notably, the overall acceptance rates have declined sharply from 11.48% in 2019 to 7.3% in 2023, illustrating increased competitiveness over recent years.
