George Washington University has seen a significant increase in its wait list acceptance rate for the Class of 2028, with 18.23% of the 6,517 wait listed applicants being accepted. This marks a stark contrast to the previous year (Class of 2027), which had only 0.25% acceptance with just 14 of 5,689 applicants admitted. Moreover, the Class of 2026 recorded a 2.63% acceptance rate with 163 out of 6,187 offered spots, while the Class of 2020 had a notably high acceptance rate of 23.21%, admitting 1,316 out of 5,673. These fluctuations illustrate the unpredictable nature of the wait list process at GWU.
